Wisconsin.

Did this at work yesterday.  It's basically a mashup of a bunch 'a different Wisconsin-y things.  And please pardon the scribbliness, it was drawn on an Intuos4.

Today's warmup sketch.  This is what I think NSFW really stands for...

Sleepy.

Sometimes I wish I could give my dog a taste of her own medicine when it comes to sleeping arrangements at night.  Take that, dog!  See how that feels?  How do you like having no room over there?  You like that?  I didn't think so!

*sigh*....if only.

Todays warm-up is of me...from the side...wearing a hat...with scruff on my face.  Nuff said.

Sketchin'

I've been away doing big thangs lately.  Got engaged (woo!), went to San Francisco (awesome!), and have been killer busy at the day job with projects.  I'm still plugging along on boards for my portfolio and did this sketch the other night as a warm up.  I've really been on a dogs/people-juxtaposition kick lately.  Fun times.

Leon

Felt like doing some film studies as a warm-up the other night.  From Luc Besson's "Leon"...

Storyboarding class wrap-up

The last few weeks of MacLeod's storyboarding class have been all about boarding a short scene.  So this post will serve to sum it all up since the last update.  The scene itself is a baseball story I wrote  called "Out of Left Field" and it features a little boy having an a"argument" with an outfielder .  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out and the feedback I got from Steven was mostly positive, so if I polish it up a little more I think I've got a decent portfolio piece.

With the class about a week away from being wrapped up I'm a little sad that it's over.  But now the game plan is to board the crap out of some stories and make a kick ass portfolio, so it's nice having more time to pour into that.

And if you stumbled upon this blog looking for reviews of Steven's CGMA storyboarding class, I give it the highest possible recommendation.  The video lectures are great (I filled an entire notebook with everything we covered!) and Q & A's are just as informative.  It's crazy how much is covered in just 2 short months.  So, yeah, take the class, goshdarnit!
